Hey there, I’m Cara Menz — business consultant, creative strategist, and community builder.
I help entrepreneurs and change-makers take bold steps, grow with purpose, and build businesses (and lives!) that truly fit who they are.
For over 20 years, I’ve been an entrepreneur—leading teams, growing sales, and helping women build success in their own authentic way. Now, I bring together my experience in leadership, marketing, and personal growth to support others as they navigate what’s next.
At Evergreen Lane Events, I create spaces for connection, learning, and renewal—through wellness retreats, entrepreneur meetups, markets, and creative workshops. My work is all about helping people grow—whether that’s in business, life, or both.

Why I Do This Work
At 40, and again at 50, I experienced the sudden loss of a career and income I had invested years in building. It was hard and scary—but it also pushed me to reinvent myself, twice.
Both times, I pivoted with purpose and created something more aligned with who I am today. That experience is why I’m passionate about helping others take bold steps—whether they’re rebuilding, starting over, or stepping into a new season of life.

Business Consulting
As a consultant for the Southwest Minnesota SBDC, I work with small business owners to provide no-cost sales and marketing support. The SBDC serves businesses across the southwest region of Minnesota.
